DG WIlls

Here I am at my first public speaking engagement as a writer. Things went well and I learned a valuable lesson; consider what you’re going to say before you step up to the mic.
I wound up explaining what a comic book was and who this project came together very quickly before making way for another poet.
Thanks to Charlie, Debbie and Linda for coming out.

  2. Oh god yes. Public speaking mortifies me. I can go up and read a poem np, even answering panel questions isn’t *that* bad after being up there for a few minutes since you have time to prep for questions but… just going up and talking.. oh god no..

  3. Thanks so much for inviting me! After hearing my tale of delight re: hot latina with her evocative poetry and fascinating body language, wild professor woman with the penchant for beer and cuntry (a neologism by yours truly meaning…hmm, appreciation of cunts, cunt worship, linda having a total potty mouth this afternoon?), amazing LA Chick with her awesome modern pop sf story, retro dudes with their rants and gee-tar, and the Suicide Girl of Erudition…wow…my friend ML was most disappointed she couldn’t attend. I told her you would probably be speaking at next year’s similar event and (after deleting what I originally wrote) now this is verging into weird relationship future prediction stuff so I’ll stop here. LOL I’ll tell you the rest in person. Off the record, so to speak.

  4. Doh! I got so caught up in freaking myself out that I forgot to say it was good to be there at your First Ever.

You’ve a natural charisma and confidence. Don’t let little things like not being prepared get in the way of that. Looking forward to future talks!

  5. BTW: If you feel you need some help doing presentations/talks/etc. lmk and I’ll hook you up.

I fairly good at that sort of thing and I need to get back into the training swing o’ things.
