I really can’t call Knight of the Black Rose a good book. It’s certainly not literature. But it is exceptional for a piece of licensed fiction.
My problem with most action-adventure stories is that from the beginning you know that the hero is going to win. It’s what the audience expects, and so there is no tension.
But in this book, its up in the air because there are no good guys. One of my favorite villains from the Dragonlance novels is at odds with the main villain of the Ravenloft novels. Just two bad, ruthless mother fuckers in an eye-gouging, bloody fight.
No mercy, fuck yeah!
I never finished reading the Twin’s novels. I got halfway into the second book, and stopped. The Mary Sue is so thick you could cut it with a knife.
Is Claire de le Lune’s a good place to read trashy fiction novels?
Until the belly dancers show up, yes.
I read Dragonlance novels in high school.
And I liked the Kender.
Nobody ever lets me forget that.
If liking the Kender is wrong I don’t wanna be right.
BTW:

BY FIZBAN’S BEARD THEY’RE SO FECKING LOUD!!
